So, what can you and your special someone do to get out and stretch your legs a bit? Plan on leaving Phoenix apartments far behind by taking advantage of these creative date ideas:

  1. Try your hand at fishing – The Phoenix area is teeming with opportunities for some great fishing. Nearby places to check out include Lake Pleasant, Bartlett Lake and Canyon Lake. If your date likes dropping a line, this is a great way to go. Add a nice, romantic touch by packing a picnic lunch, complete with a bouquet of flowers and fine linens.
  2. Go hiking and bring along a picnic lunch– Visit South Mountain Park or the many other places in the Phoenix area that offer hiking trails. Treat your nature lover to a day of Phoenix outdoor activities and you won’t go wrong.
  3. Take in an outdoor concert– The city of Phoenix has a big lineup of outdoor concerts throughout the warmer months. From events at the Hard Rock Café to those held in local parks, this is a great way to take in the Phoenix outdoors and some music, too.
  4. Go biking– Plan a biking trip through some of Phoenix’s parks and make a stop at one of the many outdoor cafes. Arcadia Farms, 2301 N. Central Ave., Chelsea’s Kitchen, 5040 N. 40th St., and The Vig Restaurant & Bar, 4041 N. 40th St., are all options with outdoor seating. There are plenty more to choose from, as well.
  5. Go green – If your nature lover has a green thumb, try sprucing up the area around your Phoenix apartments. Perhaps a little backyard planting followed up by a nice lunch or dinner with champagne or wine would suit.
  6. Go on an adventure – If you’re new to the Phoenix area and want to take a nature lover on a really unique date, just grab a map and explore the city’s many parks. From South Mountain Park to Echo Canyon, there are some incredible destinations within driving distance.

The Phoenix outdoors offers some incredible opportunities for a date your intended won’t soon forget. If getting out and exploring is the plan, Phoenix will not disappoint.
